Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a commercially minded sales leader to guide the Enterprise and Mid-Market teams for a fast-growing MarTech business in Australia. The position is intentionally broader than standard sales leadership: the successful person will act as the senior in-country leader, taking responsibility for performance, market reputation, and growth across the region with a General Manager-style remit.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Australian operation at a senior level, owning commercial results, market positioning, and the overall strategic agenda for the region.
- Adopt a regional leadership approach by spotting risks, growth opportunities, and operational enhancements across the wider APAC business, not only within sales.
- Manage the Enterprise and Mid-Market sales function directly and drive the team to consistently deliver or exceed revenue goals.
- Create and implement sales plans suited to the Australian and APAC markets while staying aligned to broader global priorities.
- Develop strong command of the product portfolio, competitor activity, and market movements to position the offering effectively.
- Work closely with Australia-based Customer Success, Customer Support, Implementation, and Sales Development teams to align priorities and influence outcomes, even where there is no direct reporting line.
- Coordinate with leaders in the UK and US so that Australian needs are visible, properly supported, and incorporated into global planning.
Experience and expertise
The ideal candidate will bring more than eight years of B2B enterprise SaaS sales experience, including at least three years in a senior leadership role managing quota-carrying sales professionals. Background in Marketing Technology or Client Experience Technology is preferred. Success in this position also requires comfort operating beyond pure sales management, including influencing cross-functional teams, working within matrixed organizations, and owning broad regional outcomes. Experience running a multi-product sales motion, or shifting a team from single-product to platform selling, will be highly valuable. A strong record of building, coaching, and scaling high-performing sales teams is essential, along with a solid understanding of the Australian enterprise and mid-market buyer landscape.
