Role overview
The Senior Manager will manage a demanding portfolio of clients, direct engagement teams, and provide specialist guidance across corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, financial modelling, and transaction structuring. The position also involves shaping client relationships, supporting business growth, and contributing to practice development.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of complex client accounts and guide teams delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Provide advanced advice in areas such as corporate strategy, M&A, business valuation, financial modelling, and transaction structuring.
- Spot opportunities for innovation and help introduce training around new technologies, financial practices, and industry standards.
- Build team capability by strengthening adaptability, resilience, and development through coaching and support.
- Allocate resources effectively across engagements and collaborate with the wider Deloitte network and external stakeholders.
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and supporting client presentations.
Team focus
The consulting team supports organizations of all sizes with strategic and financial guidance during important business moments. This includes long-term strategy work, end-to-end M&A support, strategic design, turnaround initiatives, and sustainability and infrastructure-related services that help create opportunities for the wider firm.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA.
- A recognized professional designation such as PMP, ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA, CFA, CBV, ASA, ICVS, CAIA, CFE, or ABV.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience, including consulting or a mix of consulting, audit, or related advisory work.
- Preferred background in business strategy, M&A, valuations, corporate finance, or business restructuring.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, developing, and managing team members.
- Experience supporting business growth, handling large client engagements, and working in practice management.
- Experience leading large-scale projects with strong project management skills, ideally within Financial Services or similar sectors.
- Proven ability to manage a practice and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
