Role Summary

The Training Consultant will be part of the COO Functional Training Team, collaborating to deliver customized training solutions aligned with functional business requirements. This role involves designing, developing, facilitating, and evaluating training programs, focusing on continuous enhancement and managing operational and administrative aspects of training curricula.

Principal Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business process consultants, management, and subject matter experts to identify learning objectives that meet business goals.
• Select appropriate learning methodologies and design effective functional training solutions.
• Conduct thorough training needs analysis and maintain project plans, including identifying experts as needed.
• Create, facilitate, and deliver various learning programs.
• Assess training efficacy and advise on enhancements.
• Maintain an inventory of training tools and schedules aligned with management priorities.
• Produce high-quality training deliverables requiring minimal revisions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior staff within program design.
• Serve as product and marketing manager for training initiatives.
• Manage multiple complex projects.
• Represent the COO Training team in meetings and collaborative efforts.

Area-Specific Duties

• Design and sustain a comprehensive training curriculum for Asset Servicing Custody Servicing applicable globally.
• Coordinate and deliver new hire training within assigned locations.
• Develop and conduct training for existing systems and new implementations.
• Align learning and development programs with enterprise and business unit needs.
• Collaborate closely with Custody Servicing management to address ongoing training and business requirements.
• Work cooperatively with global training teams and provide assistance as needed.

Candidate Profiles

Suitable candidates fit one of two profiles:

• Experienced funds industry operations professional aiming to enhance consulting, writing, and presentation skills. Requires 3–5 years of capital markets operations background, preferably in custody servicing or similar financial services, with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work across all staff levels, self-motivation, teamwork, and constructive feedback aptitude.
• Seasoned training consultant eager to quickly grasp custody servicing business aspects. Requires 3–5 years of training consulting experience along with strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork, ability to engage with various staff levels, receptiveness to feedback, and capability to translate SME knowledge into procedural guidance.
