Role Overview

Reporting to the EMEA Head of Physical Security, this position supports the delivery of physical security operations across Ireland and plays a key role in the effective functioning of the Security Control Centre (SCC) located in Limerick. The position encompasses overseeing physical security activities, contracted guarding services, security technologies, incident management, investigations, emergency response, and intelligence analysis. Compliance with GPSS policies, standards, and procedures is paramount, alongside maintaining consistent security service quality across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for physical security operations throughout Ireland and ensure the efficient operation of the Security Control Centre (SCC).
• Coordinate daily security activities while upholding operational standards for guarding services, security systems, and SCC functions.
• Serve as the local contact for regular operational security issues, ensuring proper tracking, communication, and escalation.
• Enhance SCC service delivery through monitoring performance, process improvements, and implementing authorized changes.
• Maintain comprehensive operating procedures, guidance documents, workflows, records, and reports.
• Oversee contracted security services, assist with vendor governance including service reviews and resolving issues.
• Support governance around access control, including authorization processes and audit compliance.
• Manage processes relating to CCTV data retention, retrieval, and evidential releases in accordance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
• Assist in managing security incidents and emergencies through coordination, clear communication, proper documentation, and escalation as needed.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, operational gaps, and risks; provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture.
• Prepare reports, management dashboards, performance metrics, and trend analyses to inform decision-making.
• Assist with budget management including invoice processing, procurement, and expenditure tracking related to security services.
• Maintain inventories of security equipment, systems, and assets.
• Contribute to regional and global GPSS initiatives and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

• 5 to 7 years of experience in physical or corporate security, law enforcement, investigations, military, intelligence, risk management, or related fields.
• Proven experience supporting physical security operations in corporate or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with managing relationships with security vendors, contract guarding teams, and security technology platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting incident response, investigations, emergency management, and business continuity efforts.
• Competent in coordinating security operational activities and executing security initiatives.
• Working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management, and security monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of physical security risk frameworks, governance, and compliance requirements.
