Job description
About the Role
This position, commonly referred to internally as "Mentor," is located in Toukley, NSW. It is a maximum term full-time role until June 2028, offering an annual package of $65,866 plus superannuation and salary packaging options.
The primary focus involves collaborating with a diverse group of individuals and employer networks to facilitate employment outcomes through continuous coaching and support. The mentor partners with job seekers to design employment plans, identify job opportunities, and maintain sustainable employment by fostering strong relationships with employers and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments of clients and develop comprehensive action plans tailored to their employment goals.
- Facilitate group learning sessions aimed at building job readiness and related skills.
- Engage actively with local businesses to promote effective employment solutions and create job opportunities for job seekers.
- Maintain detailed administrative records and case notes to monitor client progress.
- Travel regionally as needed to support clients and stakeholder relationships.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver skill-based training sessions that boost employability.
- Capability to guide and support job seekers to meet their employment objectives.
- Strong administration and communication skills with an emphasis on client engagement and employer liaison.
- Good understanding of the local labor market and experience placing clients in local jobs.
- Experience in sales, administration, retail, call centre, or customer service roles is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence (minimum P2) and willingness to travel.
- Compliance with required checks such as NDIS Workers Check and Working With Children Check, or readiness to obtain them.
- Commitment to child safety standards and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
- Experience in the disability service sector is highly regarded.
- Desirable qualifications include tertiary education or relevant experience in Employment Services, Training, Rehabilitation, or Community Services.
