We invite expressions of interest for consultant psychiatrist roles across various locations in the Wellington region. These roles offer flexible full-time and part-time contracts within dynamic multidisciplinary Mental Health teams focused on supporting and educating the local community.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates will work collaboratively within teams to ensure comprehensive clinical care. This involves conducting assessments, interventions, and educational activities aimed at supporting clients' health, wellbeing, and safety.
Working Hours
Positions include full-time, part-time, and casual shifts. Applicants should specify their preferred working arrangements in their cover letter to facilitate matching to suitable roles.
Candidate Profile
- Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or an equivalent qualification
- Eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- Demonstrate relevant psychiatric training and clinical experience
- Hold a current driver's license
- Exhibit a detail-oriented, mature, approachable, and proactive working style
About the Organisation
The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) operates across three District Health Boards: Wairarapa, Hutt Valley, and Capital and Coast. Services are provided through multiple sites covering Greater Wellington, Hutt Valley, and Wairarapa. Regional forensic and rehabilitation services are delivered by Te Korowai Whariki, while intellectual disability services extend nationally from six centers.
