Job Location and Working Style
This position is hybrid-based, requiring presence in either our Houston (Energy Corridor, 15119 Memorial Dr.) or Dallas (910 S Pearl Expressway, Dallas, 75201) offices 3-4 days weekly, complemented with 1-2 days remote work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective speakers, maintaining persistent outreach via calls and emails.
- Inform potential speakers of the benefits and rationale for participating in Bisnow events.
- Collaborate with teams to develop original conference content, recruit C-level executives as speakers, work alongside sales to secure sponsorships, and oversee the complete event lifecycle.
- Partner with various internal departments to meet ambitious business objectives, especially supporting sales strategies.
- Leverage community networks and establish partnerships with associations and local groups to enhance Bisnow’s profile and event attendance.
- Conduct thorough research on commercial real estate trends, innovative programming, and influential speakers.
- Manage ongoing relations and communications with speakers from event conceptualization to execution day.
- Deliver exceptional service and communication to both event sponsors and speakers.
- Facilitate pre- and post-event meetings to guide and provide feedback for smooth event operations.
- Continuously seek innovative improvements for event content and audience engagement.
- Collaborate closely across teams to conceive topical ideas aligned with industry trends.
- Maintain transparent communication regarding event progress among departments.
- Effectively juggle multiple concurrent event productions with high organization, attention to detail, and efficient time management.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 1 to 5 years experience in either live event production or commercial real estate property management.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Adept at managing and launching concurrent projects under time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication, and a collaborative team spirit.
- Proactive and hardworking with a determined "roll up your sleeves" approach.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with key figures within the CRE community.
- Commitment to accuracy, quality standards, consistency, and transparency in work.
- Creativity paired with a good sense of humor to foster positive work culture.
- Flexible and inventive in problem-solving; able to take initiative and contribute where needed.
