Role overview
A UAE-based financial services and investment group focused on capital markets, trading, and investment solutions is seeking a Company Secretary / Compliance Officer for its Dubai office. The role reports to the Managing Director / Compliance Head and carries a monthly salary range of AED 8,000 to AED 13,000.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the setup and opening of trading accounts with brokers.
- Prepare and send legal replies, notices, and other correspondence to regulators and government bodies.
- Assist with legal, compliance, and corporate governance work, especially in areas tied to capital markets and investment activity.
- Keep AML/KYC policies current and supervise client onboarding, due diligence, and screening workflows.
- Ensure the business meets UAE regulatory obligations related to AML, KYC, and corporate governance.
- Arrange and support regulatory inspections, AML audits, and compliance assessments.
- Support onboarding of clients into investment funds and serve as a bridge between clients and the compliance team.
- Plan Board and shareholder meetings, draft minutes and resolutions, and preserve statutory registers and records.
- Manage corporate filings, licence/registration renewals, and ongoing compliance tasks through platforms such as DMCC and SHAMS.
- Maintain contracts, agreements, statutory documents, and wider corporate records in an organized manner.
- Track changes in regulations and share practical guidance on legal and compliance matters.
- Take on additional corporate, legal, compliance, and operational tasks, including company incorporations and account-opening work.
Education and qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required. A master’s degree or Company Secretaryship-related certification is also relevant.
Candidate profile
This position is best suited to applicants with proven UAE compliance experience. Preference will be given to professionals from the same industry or to those who have handled capital markets or stock market work in the UAE or India. A Company Secretary (CS) qualification, or an equivalent credential in corporate governance and compliance, is preferred.
