About the Role
We seek a Communications Manager based in Singapore to support our South East Asia communications efforts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the policy team to inform the public about our community initiatives, showcase the social and economic benefits of our platform, and emphasize our cooperative approach with regulators and tourism bodies on sensible rules for home sharing. Your duties will also include promoting consumer campaigns, managing the company’s corporate reputation, supporting earnings releases to local media, profiling executives, and managing sensitive issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute consumer, corporate, and policy communications strategies that enhance favorability and awareness.
- Manage complex campaigns to achieve proactive positive outcomes, employing problem-solving skills as needed.
- Prepare diverse written content such as story pitches, press releases, messaging frameworks, FAQs, briefs, presentations, and speeches.
- Coordinate and manage agency partners across multiple markets.
- Provide media briefing materials for interviews and public speaking events.
- Design and implement influencer engagement strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media personnel and handle media inquiries.
- Operate a busy press office environment effectively.
- Work collaboratively with consumer communications managers and local and international policy and communications teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of six years in consumer, corporate, or policy communications, either agency or in-house, preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in Thai or Bahasa is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations with an existing media network.
- Capability to develop and execute research and data-driven press projects, campaigns, events, and trips.
- Background in managing communications around complex regulatory matters in political contexts.
- Experience operating in fast-paced environments.
- Prior exposure to South East Asia communications preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure and enthusiasm under stress.
- Committed to the company’s mission and values.
- Willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
