Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide communications and marketing strategies aligned with the company's goals
- Advise executive leadership on corporate communications, reputation, crisis management, and stakeholder involvement
- Drive corporate branding efforts to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all platforms
- Oversee public relations, media, executive communication, press releases, and community engagement activities
- Create forward-looking communication plans that enhance the company’s reputation and mitigate risks
- Support organizational changes through effective internal and external communication strategies
- Manage, mentor, and develop the communications and marketing team to foster a collaborative culture
- Oversee corporate marketing functions including digital campaigns, websites, social media, events, and collateral
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Development, Construction, Property and Community Management, and Business Development to align marketing initiatives
- Maintain relationships with agencies, consultants, media partners, and vendors
- Develop and monitor performance indicators to optimize marketing ROI
- Manage communications and marketing budgets to ensure strategic alignment
- Lead residential marketing efforts to maximize lease-ups, occupancy, retention, renewals, and revenue
- Utilize data-driven insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning to enhance marketing strategies
- Improve lead generation, conversion, and resident engagement metrics through innovative approaches
- Enhance marketing technology use including reporting, campaign automation, and lead management
- Guide communications supporting capital markets initiatives and investor relations
- Oversee creation and distribution of fundraising presentations, investor materials, and capital partner messaging
- Ensure investor communications are accurate, engaging, and consistent with brand standards
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related fields
- Over 12 years of progressive experience in communications and marketing, with minimum 6 years in leadership roles
- Proven success in leading enterprise communications, integrated marketing, corporate branding, and strategic communications
- Experience in residential marketing and multifamily or commercial real estate sectors preferred
- Background in investor relations and capital markets communications a plus
- Exceptional writing, speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills with strong executive presence
- Ability to influence senior leaders and provide strategic counsel on business matters
- Expertise in reputation management, public relations, and translating complex initiatives into clear messaging
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams and nurture talent
- Strong analytical skills utilizing performance metrics and market data for continuous improvement
- Excellent project management abilities to juggle multiple priorities efficiently
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential, high-stakes communications
- Innovative, strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and effective execution
- Experience managing external agencies, consultants, and media partnerships
