The organisation focuses on supporting vulnerable adults and elderly people by advocating for their rights and ensuring their concerns are heard in various care settings.

Job Overview

The Regional Manager will lead and guide a team of advocates across Cork and Kerry, managing complex casework and serving as the primary contact for challenging situations. Responsibilities include supervising regional advocates to maintain high standards, managing a portfolio of demanding cases, fostering connections with social care, healthcare, and legal stakeholders, and travelling regionally to attend meetings with clients, families, nursing homes, and hospitals. The role requires flexibility to work from home and participate in events or provide support beyond regular hours. The main goal is to protect and promote the well-being of vulnerable adults, addressing issues such as elder neglect, financial concerns, and family matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least three years' experience in team management and support, preferably within social care, healthcare, human rights, or legal fields.
• In-depth understanding of advocacy, safeguarding, decision-making capacity, and the operations of non-profit/charity organisations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities with aptitude to influence and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience handling sensitive matters with resilience, empathy, and sound judgment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and readiness to travel within Cork and Kerry.

Compensation and Benefits

• A salary range from €50,000 to €62,000, based on experience, with clear opportunities to transition to a permanent role.
