Job Summary

GenScript's Catalog Product Business Unit is expanding operations in Europe and seeks a motivated Commercial Technical Support Specialist. This role acts as the critical link among European commercial teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to enhance market growth for immunology cell separation and cell therapy/reagent products. Responsibilities include delivering strategic market insights, technical support, and commercial enablement to boost product adoption and regional business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategic, non-sales initiatives for the European cell separation product line ensuring set objectives are met.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and lead non-sales commercial promotion efforts for immunology cell separation products across Europe, addressing and resolving application-related technical issues.
  • Drive marketing and awareness of cell therapy and reagent products regionally, increasing product visibility and recognition.
  • Support European commercial teams through systematic customer profiling, targeted visits, and deliver expert product presentations, technical training, and hands-on application guidance.
  • Offer ongoing product consultation, troubleshoot application queries, and deliver technical solutions to the commercial teams and clients across Europe.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, policies, and technological advancements within the European cell therapy and reagent sectors, feeding insights back to support research and product development.
  • Conduct competitor technology and product analysis, preparing detailed reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to facilitate product launches, promotions, and technical enhancements within the region.
  • Undertake additional tasks as delegated by the line manager.

Candidate Profile

  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Immunology, Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, or related disciplines.
  • Between 1 to 2 years of commercial experience in life sciences, preferably with catalog-based portfolios involving cell separation, cell therapy, or reagent products.
  • Strong skills in market research and competitive analysis with the ability to produce insightful reports highlighting industry movements and competitor offerings.
  • Excellent communication, logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage customers and collaborate internally.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with commercial and R&D teams to resolve challenges collaboratively.
  • High ownership, responsiveness, and eagerness to learn; able to adapt swiftly to dynamic work environments and cultural nuances in Europe.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is mandatory; proficiency in German or French is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes up to 50% of the time.
  • Candidates must have the legal authorization to work in the UK, Germany, or France as GenScript does not sponsor work visas for this position.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with remote working arrangements based in the United Kingdom, Germany, or France.
