Role Overview
The Commercial Finance Director is a senior finance leader supporting the Protective Packaging business across North America with additional leadership responsibilities for Latin America as part of the Americas Commercial Finance team. This position drives financial leadership, analysis, and business partnering to enhance profitability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial finance partner for North America Protective business and provide leadership oversight for Latin America.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and profitability enhancement through financial leadership.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Global Finance to convert financial insights into actionable business decisions.
- Lead detailed analysis of Americas P&L, including pricing, volumes, mix, costs, margins, and profitability drivers.
- Provide detailed profitability insights at customer, product, and segment levels.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and make recommendations for mitigation or growth.
- Provide oversight, direction, and support to Latin America leadership to standardize financial analysis and reporting.
- Lead and optimize the Monthly Business Review process for Latin America and contribute to consistent quality across the Americas.
- Manage annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning for Latin America, ensuring alignment with North America plans.
- Deliver scenario and sensitivity analyses to aid leadership decisions throughout the Americas region.
- Mentor and develop a team of two Financial Analysts, promoting analytical skill-building and strong business partnering.
- Support career development, succession planning, and capability enhancement for analytical team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines; MBA preferred.
- 8 to 10+ years in progressive finance roles with leadership experience.
- Extensive commercial finance expertise including P&L management and business partnering.
- Proven ability in leading budgeting, forecasting, and Monthly Business Review processes.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using SAP, OneStream, and Power BI.
Location and Work Schedule
This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters, expected to be onsite Monday through Thursday with remote work option on Fridays.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $116,300 to $200,675 annually. Offers will be based on relevant experience, education, and internal pay structures. Eligibility for annual bonuses and incentive programs is included. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package such as health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
