Position Overview

Join Dart River Adventures, part of Ngāi Tahu Tourism, as a Coach Driver delivering scenic journeys between Queenstown and Glenorchy with occasional trips to Paradise. This fixed-term, full-time role offers the chance to operate custom 44-seat 4x4 coaches and share captivating insights about Aotearoa’s native flora and fauna on the exclusive Beech Forest walk.

Key Duties

  • Operate and drive 44-seat 4x4 coaches safely and reliably on scheduled routes.
  • Conduct guided walks in the Beech Forest, educating guests about local plant and wildlife.
  • Offer engaging customer service, sharing stories about the landscape, culture, and environment.
  • Work collaboratively within a team that values hospitality and cultural connection.
  • Maintain punctuality and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold a Class 2 driver license with Passenger (P) endorsement.
  • Proven record of safe driving and reliability behind the wheel.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and respect for New Zealand’s nature and wildlife.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to embrace and learn about Ngāi Tahu culture and heritage.
  • Open availability including weekends and holidays.
  • First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand as a citizen, resident, or valid visa holder.
