Headquartered in San Francisco, Arine is an expanding healthcare technology and clinical services organization dedicated to ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and personalized treatments for their evolving health needs. The company integrates advanced AI, machine learning, data science, and clinical expertise through its software platform to manage medications and create individualized care plans. Role Overview

As a Clinical Support Specialist on Arine's Clinical Care team, you'll support patient outcomes by utilizing the company's platform to manage medication adherence and therapy programs. Working from home, you'll make outbound calls to patients, providers, and pharmacies to address identified patient cases, schedule appointments, resolve medication concerns, and document interactions. Inbound support queries will also be handled. This phone-centric, patient-focused role demands empathy, strong communication, independence, and adaptability within a metrics-driven, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage patients via phone to explain clinical programs such as medication adherence and therapy management.
  • Manage both outbound and inbound call volumes while upholding productivity and quality standards.
  • Meet individual and team goals concerning outreach, engagement, documentation accuracy, and service results.
  • Escalate medication or health issues to pharmacists when necessary.
  • Gather provider and patient information to support clinical interventions.
  • Respond professionally to calls from patients, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Document all interactions and outcomes accurately using Arine’s software.
  • Participate in meetings focused on workflow optimization and process improvements.
  • Follow up with healthcare facilities and patients to address clinical questions or concerns.
  • Coordinate and send educational materials and assist with scheduling telehealth appointments with clinical pharmacists.
  • Help obtain necessary referrals and authorizations while adhering to evolving procedures.
  • Take full responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure their completion.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or relevant field preferred; healthcare certifications or equivalent healthcare, call center, or patient-facing experience welcomed.
  • Capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced setting with good knowledge of medical terminology and medication names.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and empathy for patients during high-volume calls.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, thorough documentation skills, and comfort with performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Mac OS, collaboration tools like Slack and Five9, multi-system navigation, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Adaptable to new technologies and clinical software platforms with a collaborative yet independent work attitude.
  • Open to coaching and ongoing learning; able to work 40 hours weekly within Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM PT, including up to two rotating Saturdays monthly.

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and ambulatory care settings.
  • Experience in high-volume, metrics-based healthcare call centers or similar environments.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Secure private workspace to maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable low-latency internet capable of handling consistent video and voice calls.
  • Availability to attend in-person meetings occasionally throughout the year for onboarding, interviews, and team events.

Compensation and Employment Details

This temp-to-hire position is expected to last about 6 months with potential for extension or permanent hire based on performance. Full benefits are offered from day one of employment. The anticipated hourly wage is $20 to $22, with final pay depending on experience, job level, location, and other relevant factors.

Seasonality and Work Schedule

Arine’s Clinical Care team experiences increased workload between May and early December, with limited time off and optional overtime during this peak period. A departmental holiday shutdown of approximately 2–3 weeks occurs between late December and early January, followed by a phased return to full operations by February, which may involve schedule modifications.
