Job description

Role overview

This contract position sits within a research team at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore. The coordinator will work in close partnership with the Principal Investigator and other study members to keep the project moving on schedule. The work is linked to research in areas such as frailty and ageing, and the role centers on project coordination, participant recruitment, data handling, and analysis support. Collaboration with staff from partner institutions may also be part of the job.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the investigators by identifying, screening, obtaining consent from, and following up with study participants while fully following the study protocol and all relevant regulatory and ethics standards.
  • Arrange the collection and transfer of biological samples, and track adverse events along with required safety documentation.
  • Manage study data entry and verification, pull relevant details from medical records, maintain investigator files, and keep other essential research records up to date.
  • Organize, prepare, and review information before it is entered into databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support efficient team output.
  • Investigate and correct missing details, inconsistencies, and other data issues.
  • Coordinate appointments and visits for study participants and stakeholders, and manage related administrative support such as reimbursements and logistics.
  • Provide additional assistance with general administrative and coordination tasks whenever needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, nursing, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent qualification; alternatively, a diploma in one of these fields with at least 3 years of experience working as a clinical research coordinator.
  • Previous exposure to clinical trials and/or healthcare project management will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong ability to manage time well and communicate effectively.
  • Comfortable working on your own as well as contributing within a team.
  • Hands-on experience with hospital systems such as NGEMR EPIC, Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and research platforms such as REDCap.
