Job description

Overview

The Assistant Manager for Group Hospitality will play a key role in managing hospitality services by monitoring vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations, and enhancing service quality and operational efficiency across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Group Hospitality portfolio, including services such as Housekeeping, Waste Management, Pest Control, Landscaping, Linen & Laundry, and Portering Services.
  • Drive vendor performance to meet contractual key performance indicators, uphold service standards, and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Regularly assess service quality and implement improvements to optimize operational effectiveness and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers to troubleshoot issues, close service gaps, and support operational functions.
  • Manage contract governance, maintain performance reports and documentation to uphold accountability and preparedness for audits.
  • Assist in budgeting, procurement, and financial oversight to ensure efficient resource use and value for money.
  • Lead or contribute to projects designed to enhance service delivery, operational resilience, and overall organizational results.
  • Foster a cooperative, high-performing team environment through coaching, employee engagement, and knowledge sharing.

Candidate Requirements

  • Pursuit of or possession of a recognised Degree, ideally in contract management within Healthcare, Hotel Management, Horticulture, or an equivalent field such as Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH).
  • Experience in managing contracts, vendors, or services, preferably within healthcare, hospitality, or facilities management sectors.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal relations.
  • Strong analytical and proactive approach with the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proven leadership qualities along with project management experience.
