Role Responsibilities

• Offer one-on-one telehealth and/or in-person coaching, counselling, or therapy sessions.
• Provide Critical Incident Stress Programme (CISP) interventions virtually or onsite when needed.
• Optionally host webinars and lead live seminars aimed at improving mental wellbeing.
• Assist employees in managing wellbeing, stress, and building resilience.
• Work closely with Intellect’s internal clinical team to enhance EAP services and programs.

Mandatory Qualifications

Counsellors:

• Master’s degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology.
• Active professional registration or membership—with NZ Association of Counsellors (NZAC) membership preferred.
• Between 1 to 3 years of supervised counselling experience.

Clinical Psychologists:

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from an APAC-accredited program.
• Registration with the Psychologists Board of New Zealand holding a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Preferred Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE) in Clinical Psychology or actively pursuing it through the Registrar Program.
• Between 1 to 3 years of supervised clinical practice.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working with the Māori community.
• Experience or interest in managerial or leadership support roles such as coaching or HR advisory.
• Previous Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or workplace counselling involvement.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Flexibility to occasionally conduct onsite sessions.
