About the Role
Join a dynamic team at Aurecon where we engineer significant projects within New Zealand's Energy and Industrial sectors. As part of our team, you will contribute to designing infrastructure that supports manufacturing, fuel storage, industrial facilities, and the ongoing energy transition.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop civil engineering designs for projects encompassing industrial infrastructure, fuel terminals, and manufacturing sites.
- Design and implement earthworks, stormwater management systems, drainage, retaining walls, underground utilities, pavements, and other essential site development elements.
- Create and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports utilizing Civil 3D and CAD tools.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support project phases including construction monitoring and implementation by working alongside contractors and site teams.
- Partner with both local and international colleagues to innovate sustainable engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess 2 to 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project execution.
- Experience with earthworks, drainage systems, stormwater management, retaining walls, underground service layouts, and related civil infrastructure.
- Background in Energy & Industrial sectors such as manufacturing, fuel, or water infrastructure is preferred but not mandatory; candidates from land development, civil construction, or project engineering are also encouraged.
- Experience working alongside contractors and during construction delivery stages is highly valued.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, CAD software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster client and stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated collaborative approach, practical problem-solving capabilities, commercial understanding, and eagerness to develop expertise within the Energy & Industrial discipline.
