About the role
This position supports YouTube’s Product and Business Strategy leadership team, helping drive execution, shape strategy, and strengthen organizational effectiveness across emerging experiences and community-focused initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and communications, with a focus on enabling high-quality decisions and coordinated action across teams.
In this role, you will work closely with YouTube leadership to accelerate progress on high-priority efforts, improve how the organization functions, and help guide long-term direction for emerging product areas. The work spans cross-functional coordination, executive communication, strategic analysis, and operational planning in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
- At least 15 years of experience in management consulting, product strategy, product management, or analytics within a technology organization.
- Strong background in working with data, interpreting insights, and coordinating multiple cross-functional programs or projects.
- Experience in consumer product strategy and operations, including leading initiatives that involve Product Management, Engineering, UX, and Data Science stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience advising senior leaders with objective analysis and decision support.
- Track record of managing teams directly and collaborating on cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working closely with product and engineering organizations.
- Interest in or experience with emerging consumer technologies, digital media, and community-led platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What you’ll do
- Shape the direction, strategy, and operating model for YouTube in partnership with the VP of Product and Engineering.
- Work with YouTube leaders to keep the organization running efficiently and aligned to the overall mission.
- Create and deliver communications for audiences across the organization, including senior executives, all-hands meetings, offsites, and leadership forums.
- Step in as a representative for the VP of Product when required, using sound judgment and discretion to support decisions.
Compensation and benefits
The U.S. base pay range for this role is $222,000 to $309,000 annually. In addition, the package includes a 25% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Final pay is influenced by job-related experience, skills, education, and training.
