About BJAK

BJAK was founded in 2019 with a mission to provide smarter solutions for planning, saving, and growing money. We created the first mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, making insurance accessible online to millions. We continue expanding to provide services such as spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel solutions to help users optimize their finances daily. Our global team represents over 20 nationalities, working passionately to develop innovative financial products.

Role Overview

We seek an experienced Chief of Staff to lead the expansion of BJAK's AI Neobank initiatives across products, markets, and teams. This senior role demands strong execution skills to align leadership, establish effective operating rhythms, resolve cross-departmental challenges, and translate strategic goals into tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic execution efforts for AI Neobank priorities.
  • Develop and manage operating cadences including OKRs, leadership updates, decision tracking, and accountability frameworks.
  • Coordinate significant initiatives involving product, engineering, licensing, market growth, partnerships, finance, and operations departments.
  • Create clear decision memos, performance reviews, and materials for the board and leadership.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles to prevent project delays.
  • Support leadership in making well-informed decisions regarding resource allocation and priorities.
  • Handle special high-impact projects requiring senior judgement and cross-functional influence.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven operator with extensive experience in driving strategic execution across diverse teams.
  • Exceptional judgment, communication, prioritization abilities, and reliable follow-through.
  • Comfortable collaborating with founders, CEOs, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Capable of navigating ambiguity and working independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong skills in business analysis, writing, and problem-solving.
  • Experience in startups, consulting, strategy, operations, fintech, financial services, or regional expansion is highly beneficial.

Personal Attributes

  • Facilitates faster decision-making and clarity across the organization.
  • Effectively challenges and aligns teams while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Maintains focus on data, deadlines, responsible parties, and actionable outcomes.
  • Combines strategic insight with hands-on execution.
  • Exhibits a humble approach, strong ownership, and a proactive mindset.

Who Should Not Apply

  • Individuals seeking solely advisory responsibilities.
  • Candidates unable to handle pressure, ambiguity, or accountability at a senior level.
  • Those who prioritize creating processes over enhancing execution.
  • Applicants who avoid engagement with operational details.
  • People preferring status over responsibility and ownership.

Work Location and Language

This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in the United States as the role focuses on this market. English proficiency is essential as it is the primary language across our global teams.

Interview Process

  • Online assessment or practical assignment
  • Technical interview
  • Final interview with CEO

We strive for a swift hiring process, aiming to complete interviews and extend offers within one week for qualified candidates who promptly complete assessments.
