Its commitment includes responsible AI integration that emphasizes augmenting human abilities aligned with organizational missions and values.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Chief of Staff to act as a multiplier for our founder’s efforts. This role will be instrumental in converting the founder's vision into actionable plans, establishing systems to maximize leadership effectiveness, and ensuring that critical initiatives are executed flawlessly amidst rapid scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Address evolving and complex organizational challenges with autonomy, proactively creating value without needing extensive oversight.
- Lead or contribute to various projects including AI transformation efforts with clients, client CEO management, Human Agency sales drives, talent acquisition partnerships, client project delivery, data-driven value creation, and go-to-market strategies.
- Manage end-to-end founder-level projects and organizational initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and success measures.
- Develop and maintain high-quality executive documents such as strategy briefs, decision memos, and organizational roadmaps that promote alignment and informed decision-making.
- Design and optimize internal operational systems including hiring infrastructure, resource planning, team capacity, coordination mechanisms, and organizational rhythms to support growth to a 25-30+ person team in 2026.
- Oversee resource allocation and ensure sustainable workloads across teams, identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies to enhance velocity and quality.
- Coordinate complex, cross-departmental initiatives acting as a neutral facilitator and representative of the founder in key discussions.
- Ensure transparent internal communication translating founder strategies into actionable directions, preparing the founder for meetings and maintaining awareness of organizational health.
Required Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years in high-performing roles such as Chief of Staff, strategic operations, consulting, venture capital, business development, or startup leadership.
- Strong affinity for AI, consistently integrating automation and AI tools to improve workflows and productivity.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous and complex projects, delivering results through strategic initiatives.
- Expertise in systems thinking and process development that builds scalable organizational infrastructure.
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple high-priority tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with collaboration and productivity platforms like Google Workspace, Asana/Notion, Slack, as well as AI-driven tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, adept at synthesizing detailed information for diverse audiences.
- Preferred: experience in startup growth environments, venture studios, AI/technology sectors, talent operations, organizational design, business development in B2B, or board-level strategy involvement.
Personal Qualities & Work Ethic
- Dedicated to Human Agency’s mission and values, with a systems-oriented mindset focused on sustainable processes over quick fixes.
- Highly proactive and autonomous, with a strong bias for action and independent problem-solving.
- Composure under pressure with sound judgment to escalate issues appropriately.
- Collaborative and ego-free, building trust through consistent delivery rather than authority.
- Intellectually curious with agility to move between strategic concepts and tactical execution.
- Comfortable operating in uncertain environments, capable of creating clarity from complexity.
Additional Information
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Ethics: Commitment to ethical standards and responsible business practices.
