Role Overview

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at THG Beauty will be responsible for spearheading the growth strategy for the global retail collections, notably Lookfantastic, Cult Beauty, and Dermstore. This senior role reports directly to the CEO of THG Beauty and involves overseeing brand presence, customer engagement, and commercial marketing effectiveness worldwide. The CMO will design and implement marketing strategies, cultivate a top-tier marketing team, and focus sharply on acquiring and retaining customers while enhancing brand value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global marketing strategies across all retail brands and markets.
• Drive customer growth metrics including acquisition, life-time value, retention, and reactivation.
• Establish and maintain distinct, premium, and relevant brand positioning for each platform.
• Manage channel performance encompassing paid media, SEO, affiliate marketing, CRM, social media, influencer partnerships, and collaborations.
• Lead marketing activities for key commercial events such as peak sales periods, product launches, and exclusive offers.
• Enhance customer experience by overseeing the complete journey via web, mobile apps, and content platforms.
• Use data analytics to set performance standards, assign attribution, and ensure return on investment discipline.
• Build and mentor a high-performing, globally interconnected marketing team.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated success as a CMO or Marketing Director within global beauty, fashion, or ecommerce industries.
• Proven ability to deliver profitable growth at scale.
• Extensive knowledge in performance marketing combined with brand development expertise.
• Commercial acumen including budget ownership, forecasting, and ROI management.
• Experience overseeing multi-brand and multi-market portfolios.
• Strong operational skills to quickly transition strategy into actionable initiatives.
• Effective leadership to set high standards, build strong teams and enhance organizational capabilities.
