The role supports a customer-focused technology business that has been recognised as a Great Place to Work in 2024-2025 and one of Australia’s Best Places to Work for Medium & Large organisations in 2025, with an eNPS score of 68.
In this position, you will oversee the controlled execution of changes across managed services customers, working with clients, technical teams, Service Delivery Managers and the broader Service Management function. The aim is to ensure every change is properly reviewed, authorised, communicated and delivered in line with governance standards.
Security and compliance requirements
This position requires a current NV1 security clearance. A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police Check, and NV1 Security Clearance are also required.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full change management lifecycle for managed services customers, making sure every change is assessed, approved, scheduled, implemented and formally closed in line with governance controls.
- Examine and coordinate change requests, checking risk and impact assessments, implementation and rollback planning, testing needs, approvals and operational readiness.
- Partner with technical teams to validate scope, dependencies, timing and implementation methods, while keeping ITSM records and supporting documentation accurate and current.
- Run customer Change Advisory Boards (CABs) and internal review meetings, including preparing agendas, engaging stakeholders, reviewing changes, recording decisions and communicating outcomes.
- Keep the Forward Schedule of Change up to date and ensure configuration item changes and associated documentation are properly captured.
- Serve as a central contact for customers, Service Delivery Managers, technical teams and other stakeholders on change governance, approvals and process guidance.
- Communicate schedules, risks, requirements and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, while supporting customer-specific compliance and stakeholder engagement.
- Improve change management practices, reporting, CAB effectiveness and process consistency, and escalate risks, delays, breaches and repeated issues where needed.
What you should bring
- Hands-on experience in IT Change Management within an ITIL-aligned service management setting, including governance, risk assessment and approval workflows.
- Experience leading CABs or similar governance meetings, with the ability to judge change risk, impact, readiness and implementation requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence influencing technical, operational and client-facing groups.
- Proven success managing several customers, priorities and services in a managed services, shared services or enterprise IT environment.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to handle a large volume of changes accurately.
- A practical, process-oriented approach that balances governance, risk control, operational efficiency and ongoing improvement.
- Experience working with ITSM tools, change calendars, reporting systems and service management documentation.
- ITIL Foundation certification is mandatory; further ITIL, Change Management or Service Management credentials are considered an advantage.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance is required.
Benefits
- Hybrid working is available for most roles, with team anchor days to encourage collaboration.
- Access to substantial training and development opportunities to support continuous career growth.
- Discounts and benefits designed to help you make your money go further.
- Choice of IT equipment to help you work effectively, plus access to cost-price technology for personal use.
- Regular team events that recognise achievements and help build connection across the workplace.
