About the Role
Centorrino Technologies is expanding its team in Darwin and is looking for a Desktop Support Officer to provide hands-on technical support at customer sites. This is a 3-month contract role, with the potential for an extension.
The position involves delivering helpful, professional support with a positive attitude. You will work across a range of technologies, including Mac and Windows computers, tablets, server environments, network infrastructure, and voice systems. While server and network work is mainly handled by specialist teams, you will still collaborate closely with them when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep daily customer operations running smoothly through reliable technical support.
- Build friendly, professional relationships with end users.
- Work with teammates to identify processes that can be improved or simplified.
- Collect customer feedback and actively use it to improve service quality.
- Spot issues or service requests that do not yet have a defined process and help create one with the team.
- Maintain accurate, current documentation and procedures.
- Take ownership of everyday technology problems and coordinate with external third-party providers where required.
- Partner with colleagues across different teams to achieve the best outcome for the customer.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to customer service and a proven ability to help people resolve technical issues on computers and other devices.
- Interest in technology and a willingness to learn new systems and concepts so you can communicate confidently with staff and vendors.
- Clear, effective troubleshooting communication, with the ability to stay calm and explain issues and preventive steps in simple terms.
- Positive, can-do approach with a track record of supporting others through technical problems.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills for working with a range of stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adjust hours or stay back when unusual situations or operational needs arise.
- Valid Vulnerable People Check / Working with Children Check and Police Check are mandatory.
