Category Manager Lead - Collectibles, TikTok Shop

About the Role

Join TikTok Shop US Operations as a Category Manager Lead focusing on the rapidly expanding category of Collectibles. You will drive the overall category strategy including merchant acquisition, commercial planning, performance tracking, and lead a team of Category Managers. Collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Creator Partnerships, Strategy, and Operations, you will help build a scalable merchant ecosystem and ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team managing merchant acquisition, growth, and category operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the Collectibles category and increase GMV.
• Forge and enhance partnerships with brands, distributors, merchants, and ecosystem collaborators.
• Create tailored growth plans by leveraging TikTok Shop’s content, creator networks, affiliate programs, and merchandising tools.
• Analyze business metrics to identify opportunities and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects across Product, Marketing, Operations, Strategy, and Logistics to address complex challenges and enhance merchant experience.
• Represent TikTok Shop externally to build strategic, long-term partnerships within the collectibles ecosystem.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive background in e-commerce, marketplace management, category leadership, commercial strategy, or business development.
• Demonstrated success in team leadership and talent development.
• Proven ability to drive business growth, category development, and merchant acquisition.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in marketplace platforms, social commerce, or content-focused e-commerce environments.
• Responsibility for category P&L with clear commercial impact.
• Familiarity with collectibles or related consumer product sectors is a plus.
• Prior experience in dynamic, fast-growing, or entrepreneurial companies.
• Strong commercial insight and passion for business growth and team leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role in Los Angeles is $151,050 to $273,600 annually, depending on qualifications and location. Additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and equity grants may be available. Benefits include day-one access to medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) with company matching, paid parental leave, disability protection, life insurance, wellness programs, 10 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and paid personal time with accrual based on tenure.
