Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Casting Executive or Senior Casting Executive specializing in Chinese drama productions to join our team. This role involves managing all facets of talent casting from scouting suitable candidates to providing on-set coordination.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit appropriate talents via talent databases, agencies, social media channels, and open casting opportunities.
• Organize and facilitate auditions, screen tests, and casting calls efficiently.
• Suggest ideal talent selections to Executive Producers and Directors aligned with creative vision and production needs.
• Communicate effectively with talents, agencies, and production crews regarding schedules, contracts, and casting logistics.
• Monitor and document talent performances and casting results for future reference.
• Prepare comprehensive casting budgets along with detailed cost analyses for productions.
• Maintain and update an extensive casting database covering talent profiles, availability, audition logs, and other pertinent details.
• Manage administrative tasks including issuance of e-payment vouchers and processing of payments to talents and agents.
• Coordinate pre-production activities such as table reads, imaging sessions, and acting workshops.
• Offer casting assistance and talent coordination on set as needed.
• Adhere to department Standard Operating Procedures and internal process requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort in using digital platforms and database management.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese languages.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective organizational skills capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to following established procedures.
• Confidence in interacting with artistes, talent agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Passion for the entertainment and media sector, particularly in talent casting and development.
