Overview
The Casting Administrator is an essential contributor to performer-related operations across various platforms including prime time television, basic cable, and streaming pilots and series. This role demands exceptional organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the management of confidential information in accordance with industry standards and studio protocols.
Responsibilities
- Gain expertise in specialized Casting Administration software and tools.
- Examine and verify deal memos from casting directors and production teams to ensure compliance with guild guidelines and internal studio policies.
- Compose, review, and finalize contracts for performers involved in prime time, basic cable, and streaming content.
- Ensure all paperwork is processed promptly to meet required deadlines.
- Handle the distribution, scanning, filing, and archiving of documents pertaining to performers, maintaining accurate and secure records.
- Prepare documentation required for court approval concerning minors working on productions.
- Maintain detailed logs per episode for assigned projects to monitor compliance deadlines.
- Review post-production timesheets for accuracy and identify any ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording) payments to be forwarded to production payroll.
- Submit Taft-Hartley reports to SAG-AFTRA when applicable, ensuring precise and timely regulatory compliance.
- Keep database entries updated with confidential project, performer, and agent information.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects efficiently.
- Strong meticulousness with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
- At least 2 years of experience in administrative roles.
- Good understanding of business administration concepts and practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to handle and organize large quantities of details, information, and activities reliably.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and team-oriented attitude.
- Competent typing skills and familiarity with pertinent computer software and tools.
Compensation and Benefits
The position is based in Burbank, CA, with a salary range of $72,000 to $96,500 annually, calculated on a 40-hour workweek. Weekly working hours may fluctuate based on business demands. Final compensation will reflect internal pay equity and factors including candidate location, qualifications, and experience. Additional compensation elements could include bonuses or long-term incentive units. Comprehensive medical, financial, and other benefits will also be available depending on position level.
