We are currently hiring career changers for the role of Specialist in Construction Site Safety (m/f/d) with DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at various locations including Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Falkenberg/Elster, Halle (Saale), Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Nordhausen, Sangerhausen, and Torgau.
Retraining Program
- Complete a comprehensive retraining lasting about one year, gradually acquiring the necessary professional skills
- The program combines theoretical learning and practical experience, allowing hands-on application
- Experienced colleagues will mentor you to ensure a smooth transition, even if this is a completely new field for you
- Theoretical classes are held locally where possible, and practical assignments typically occur in your future work area
- You will receive a secure salary from the start of your retraining
Post-Retraining Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to ensure safety at railway track construction sites, preventing any accidents
- Warn personnel in track areas of approaching trains using various signals and modern warning systems
- Implement safety rules and provide training to new safety personnel on site
- Communicate continuously with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Independently organize and oversee safety measures at construction sites
Candidate Profile
- At least 18 years old with a minimum of a secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
- No prior experience required, but must be responsible and committed to ensuring safety
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficient in German with confident verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and change work locations as required
- Possess a class B driving license and have access to own vehicle
