We are currently seeking career changers for the position of Construction Site Safety Specialist (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH in Berlin or Potsdam.
Training Program
- Over approximately one year, you will systematically learn the necessary skills for this role.
- The training alternates between theoretical lessons and practical application, allowing you to observe and immediately practice the required tasks.
- You will be supported and mentored by experienced colleagues to ensure a smooth transition into this new career path.
- Theoretical classes are held close to your residence whenever possible, while practical assignments typically take place in your future work area.
- From the outset, you will receive a stable and secure salary.
Post-Training Duties
- Ensure the safety of all personnel at railway construction sites as part of a team.
- Warn workers operating on the tracks about approaching trains using various signals and advanced warning systems.
- Implement safety protocols and instruct new safety personnel on site.
- Communicate effectively with different stakeholders to guarantee smooth operations.
- Independently organize and supervise the safety measures at construction sites.
Candidate Profile
- At least 18 years old with a minimum of a secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss).
- No previous professional experience required, but reliability and willingness to maintain safety is essential.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proficient in German communication, both spoken and written.
- Flexible regarding night shifts, weekend work, and changing work locations.
- A driver's license class B and personal vehicle are advantageous but not mandatory.
