During your training period, you will receive an attractive salary. Upon completing your onboarding, you will independently manage your responsibilities and fully integrate into our team.

Join us for a secure job, supportive team environment, and the opportunity to work outdoors along the railway network. Together, we advance the railway!

We are recruiting immediately for career changers as Construction Site Safety Specialists at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH, with locations including Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Falkenberg/Elster, Halle (Saale), Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Nordhausen, Sangerhausen, and Torgau.

Training Program

  • The approximately one-year training program teaches you step-by-step the knowledge and skills needed for this profession.
  • Theoretical lessons alternate with practical sessions, allowing you to observe and practice in real settings.
  • Experienced colleagues will mentor you closely to ensure a smooth transition, even for those new to the field.
  • The theoretical training takes place near your residence whenever possible, while practical work assignments are mostly within your future deployment region.
  • From the start, you will receive a secure salary.

Post-Training Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your team to ensure safety at track construction sites, protecting all personnel from harm.
  • Warn workers on the tracks about incoming trains using various signals and advanced warning systems.
  • Implement safety regulations and guide new safety personnel in their roles.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with different stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Independently organize and supervise safety measures on construction sites.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum age of 18 years with a secondary school (Hauptschul) diploma.
  • No prior experience necessary, but you must be responsible and confident in maintaining safety.
  • Enjoy working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Proficient German language skills in speaking and writing.
  • Open to flexible working hours including night shifts, weekends, and changing assignment locations.
  • Possession of a Class B driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

Applications from already qualified Construction Site Safety Specialists, Safety Posts, and Supervisors are also welcomed.
