Opportunity Overview
We invite applications for the position of Cardiac CT Radiographer on a 12-month maximum-term maternity leave contract starting October 2026. The role is based in a state-of-the-art cardiac CT facility in Murdoch, Western Australia. While full-time candidates are preferred to ensure service continuity, flexible part-time or job-share arrangements may be considered for exceptional applicants. This role uniquely combines hands-on cardiac CT clinical responsibilities with operational coordination of the CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality cardiac CT imaging including CT Coronary Angiography, Structural Heart CT studies, and Calcium Score scans, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Perform post-processing and analysis of imaging studies, including vessel tracking and preparation of images, and promptly escalate urgent findings to cardiologists.
- Manage daily operations of the CTCA service by overseeing consumable supplies, clinical stock, and ensuring the department is fully equipped.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks to facilitate smooth patient workflows and timely reporting of results.
- Maintain and monitor CT imaging equipment and clinical areas, reporting any faults or hazards immediately.
- Work closely with administration to optimize appointment scheduling and enhance clinical capacity.
- Support continuous quality improvements, contributing insights to enhance workflows and clinical processes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, quality standards, and Advara HeartCare protocols.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to keep updated with advancements in cardiac CT imaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams, delivering patient-centered care both independently and collaboratively.
Candidate Profile
- Current registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Possession of a valid Radiation Use Licence in Western Australia.
- Experience in cardiac CT imaging is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize workload in a fast-paced clinical setting.
