Job description
Job Purpose
This position focuses on originating and executing capital markets sales and FX flow business for financial institutions, corporate clients, and individual customers. The role supports the Group Head of Capital Markets Sales in delivering the sales strategy, meeting budget objectives, and ensuring that products are presented accurately with suitable scenario analysis. It also involves establishing and strengthening the UAE Branch platform while applying best practices and maintaining full compliance with group policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sales and marketing materials for capital markets products, including pricing, structuring, and correct fee or charge disclosure in client proposals, while ensuring alignment with Sharia principles.
- Check that scenario analysis is accurately incorporated into client-facing presentations.
- Drive cross-selling across treasury and capital markets offerings, such as FX, structured products, fixed income, structured deposits, mutual funds, and any future products, to improve bank profitability.
- Create presentation decks, pitch books, and market updates whenever needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Coverage, Credit Administration, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all activities follow bank policies and procedures.
- Support the division’s ancillary budget for the year and work with the Capital Markets Sales team to deliver on agreed targets.
- Take on other duties and projects assigned by the Group Head of Capital Markets Sales.
- Engage periodically with customers and prospects to sustain relationships and suggest suitable solutions for the bank’s clients.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Coverage team to fully understand client requirements.
- Promote capital markets products through regular client meetings and discussions focused on new products, market movements, and industry developments.
- Keep up with market trends and changes so timely updates can be shared with clients by phone or in face-to-face meetings.
- Build marketing and interpersonal capabilities to better position solutions for clients.
- Stay informed about ongoing market developments and price or rate movements.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a similar field is required.
- A master’s degree in one of these disciplines is an advantage.
- Professional credentials such as CFA, ACI Diploma, PRM, or FRM are preferred.
- At least 5 to 6 years of hands-on banking experience is needed, including 3 years in the same or a closely related role.
