Job description
About the Role
This position involves closely monitoring cancer patient pathways to ensure accurate tracking from diagnosis through treatment. You will collaborate with Directorate Managers and MDT Coordinators to prioritize validation efforts and maintain up-to-date waiting lists. Periodic report generation and communication across clinical and administrative teams will support smooth progression of patients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Directorate and Assistant Directorate Managers to establish validation priorities and timelines.
- Monitor cancer patients throughout their care pathway and prepare relevant reports.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Tumour Site MDT Coordinators to manage patient flows effectively.
- Validate cancer waiting lists for accuracy and update as necessary to facilitate patient progression.
- Engage with clinical, managerial, scheduling, booking, and information staff to ensure data accuracy.
- Run regular standard reports to assure the quality of validation processes and escalate cases when required.
- Support collection and verification of Clinic Outcome data pertinent to Cancer Access Waiting Times compliance.
Requirements
- Practical experience working within cancer services.
- Familiarity with cancer care guidelines and protocols.
- Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory; applications in Welsh are welcomed and given equal consideration.
