Job description
Role Overview
The CAC Cashier and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Specialist is responsible for organizing and conducting activities and events twice daily at each service location. This allows participation from both shifts. The role includes managing resale operations such as alcohol sales, ensuring compliance with activity regulations, and promptly addressing all guest questions.
Responsibilities
- Organize and run MWR special events including event setup, marketing, audiovisual support, decoration, and equipment teardown.
- Coordinate transportation logistics with licensed drivers for entertainers and act as their escort during on-base visits.
- Maintain all MWR facilities to be clean, sanitary, and professionally maintained, free from clutter and debris.
- Provide cashier services supporting resale and retail operations, including alcohol sales.
- Host weekly recreational activities such as bingo, Texas Hold’em, foosball, dominoes, spades, bid whist, karaoke, pizza nights, pool, ping pong, and video game tournaments.
- Distribute complimentary food items (pizza, subs, donuts) to enhance program engagement.
- Handle customer inquiries, game check-ins/outs, movie presentations, event information services, holiday decorations, and tournament organization.
- Count customer attendance and ensure complimentary consumables like popcorn are always available.
- Confirm adequate stock of all supplies to support complimentary items.
- Reserve staging areas for entertainers as needed.
- Perform any additional duties necessary to support mission objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Holding a valid U.S. passport is preferred.
- Must meet all USCENTCOM deployment policies, including COVID-19 vaccination per USCENTCOM directives.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a valid UAE residency visa.
- Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions, including exposure to dust and high heat.
- Endurance for extended hours and exposure to weather and potentially hazardous environments.
- Required to have and sustain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
- Full-time travel at deployed locations is mandatory (100%).
