Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to propel growth within Aon's EMEA captive insurance sector. This hybrid position can be based in our Dublin head office or other captive locations across EMEA. You will engage closely with multiple internal teams and clients, utilizing insight to convert relationships into significant commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the EMEA Captives business development lead to expand ACIM's captive insurance offerings.
- Act as an initial contact for captive insurance discussions and advance opportunities along the sales pipeline.
- Analyze current clients and prospects to discover and qualify new captive market potentials.
- Engage clients by explaining captive insurance basics, assessing if captives are suitable, and supporting feasibility studies conducted with the risk consulting team.
- Create and present customized client presentations and materials that demonstrate ACIM’s captive capabilities and value.
- Manage leads through their full lifecycle, including logging, follow-ups, progress tracking, and documenting outcomes.
- Develop and optimize distribution channels in EMEA, identifying key relationships and supporting targeted engagement.
- Deepen knowledge of ACIM’s EMEA solutions to articulate and refine a clear value proposition.
- Customize presentation materials and proposals to align with specific sectors, regional markets, and decision-making units.
- Maintain continuous pipeline development by monitoring activity, conversion metrics, and coordinating regular reviews and reports.
- Support marketing and thought-leadership efforts including campaigns, events, and creation of relevant content.

- Prior experience within captive insurance or related alternative risk/reinsurance markets (e.g., captive management, consulting, brokerage, risk management).
- Proven success in business development roles.
- Strong relationship-building and client presentation skills.
