Business Development Director, AI Infrastructure

Role overview

A newly created AI infrastructure venture, supported by private equity, is launching a GPU-as-a-Service offering from its Singapore headquarters. Backed by a long-term digital infrastructure investor with interests across data centres, connectivity, cloud and AI compute in Asia, the business is designed to support major technology clients across Southeast Asia.

What you will do

• Lead commercial outreach and customer development for the GPU-as-a-Service platform, reporting to the CEO and working alongside the founding technology team.
• Focus initially on Chinese OTT, internet, cloud and other large technology accounts expanding into Southeast Asia.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with target customers.
• Translate customer needs into well-structured GPUaaS opportunities and solution requirements.
• Drive commercial discussions, negotiations and deal closure for large-scale opportunities.

Candidate profile

The preferred background includes strong exposure to AI infrastructure, GPUaaS, cloud, data centre or telecom infrastructure businesses, along with established relationships in the Chinese technology ecosystem. Experience from major Chinese vendors, carriers, cloud providers or digital infrastructure platforms is especially relevant. The role suits someone who works independently, shows initiative, solves problems creatively and communicates clearly, with a strong hunter-style business development approach.
