About the Role
Join a globally connected, diverse team at a leading professional services firm committed to shaping a better working world. We are currently looking for a motivated Proposal Strategist to join our Canada Strategic Proposal team on an 18-month contract based onsite in St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role supports new business growth by providing strategic and tactical input to proposal development across multiple sectors and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic communication efforts for large, complex, and critical proposals.
- Conduct research, compose, and refine both standard and tailored proposal materials.
- Organize and participate in meetings with team members working on bid responses.
- Develop and coach presentation materials for oral pitch events.
- Facilitate sessions focused on winning strategies.
- Manage proposal processes by coordinating contributions and tracking follow-up actions to ensure cohesive team outcomes.
- Supervise proposal progress against deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Disseminate best practices to proposal teams.
- Review final proposals for quality, branding, and formatting compliance.
- Serve as a communication link between the proposal team and other support departments.
- Establish and maintain relationships within the broader Markets Organization nationwide.
- Handle multiple proposals and competing priorities effectively.
Skills and Attributes
- Exceptional proficiency in writing and editing.
- Strong business insight and commercial awareness.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Robust project management capabilities including prioritization, scheduling, and multitasking.
- Effective interaction across all organizational levels.
- Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within professional services such as accounting, consulting, or legal sectors.
- Deep understanding of proposal creation and management for professional services.
- Background in content writing, communications or proposal management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Language, Communications, Marketing, or Business required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and French is essential due to national and international client engagement.

We provide a competitive salary aligned with provincial pay transparency laws, performance-based rewards, and recognition for your contributions. Salary ranges vary by location:
- Toronto, London, Waterloo, Ottawa, Vancouver, Victoria: $75,600 to $113,400 annually.
