Role overview
As a Barista at Soho House, you will craft and serve a broad selection of speciality coffees, teas, and other hot or cold beverages to a consistently high standard. The role is centered on delivering attentive, welcoming, and well-informed service to members and guests.
You will partner with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly, contribute to day-to-day operations, and help maintain the club’s high standards.

Key duties
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks to a consistently excellent level, including espresso drinks, pour-overs, and non-dairy options.
- Keep coffee equipment cleaned, maintained, and calibrated each day to preserve quality.
- Welcome members in a warm, professional way and remember individual preferences to provide tailored service.
- Keep the barista counter and service area tidy and organised in line with hygiene and health and safety rules.
- Track stock of coffee, milk, and related supplies, and update management when replenishment is needed.
- Work with the wider food and beverage team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Handle orders and payments accurately through the POS system.
- Share ideas for seasonal drinks, coffee tastings, and member-led experiences.
- Assist with food and drink presentation, including breakfast items and light snacks where required.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring up to 2 years of experience in a busy, high-profile setting and a genuine talent for delivering excellent service. Reliability, friendliness, and a strong team focus are important for success in this role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume settings and able to stay calm while solving problems quickly under pressure.
- Friendly, approachable, customer-focused, and respectful to both colleagues and guests.
- Able to demonstrate competence according to the training schedule and Club School.
- Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays when needed.
- Capable of following direction, collaborating within a team, and working independently when required.
Compensation
The listed pay rate for this UK role is £15.50 per hour.
