Role Overview

As Banquet Captain, you will ensure the smooth and efficient management of Food and Beverage operations in line with set standards and concept guidelines. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff performance, maintaining operational standards, supporting outlet operations during peak times, conducting inventory checks, and collaborating with other departments to uphold cleanliness and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Food and Beverage operations effectively according to established concept statements.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures to maintain service quality as outlined in the SOP.
• Delegate tasks to team members and regularly monitor their performance.
• Remain present on the floor to supervise operations at all times.
• Provide operational assistance during high-demand periods.
• Maintain par stock levels for equipment and supplies to ensure adequate availability.
• Participate in monthly inventory assessments of operating equipment and supplies.
• Represent the Food & Beverage Supervisor in daily operations meetings when necessary.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Stewarding departments to ensure adherence to established cleaning schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications include a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or Food & Beverage Service.
• Vocational training in hospitality or catering is considered advantageous.
• Two to five years of experience in food and beverage service roles.
• Prior experience as a banquet server, waiter, or banquet supervisor is essential.
• Experience working in luxury hotels or large event venues is highly preferred.
