Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of all mechanical and plumbing systems and installations within the property.
• Maintain all lighting fixtures across hotel and retail areas to ensure optimal functionality.
• Oversee the maintenance of HVAC units, ensuring efficient operation.
• Service motors, belts, bearings, and related mechanical components.
• Maintain and manage the upkeep of various shop tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Security Manager in maintaining life safety machinery, including pumps and emergency diesel systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair non-functional equipment promptly.
• Perform welding tasks as necessary to support repairs and maintenance.
• Complete all work orders relevant to hotel operations in a timely fashion.
• Provide assistance to other trades and departments, particularly in retail areas when required.
• Respond to maintenance requests, executing repairs or escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
• Conduct chemical testing for boilers, chillers, and swimming pools to ensure safe operation.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) computer software effectively.
• Participate actively as a member of the fire response team and remain on standby during emergencies.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance assigned by the Engineering Office.
• Coordinate with vendors to procure necessary replacement parts and maintain adequate inventory levels of parts and materials in the maintenance workshop.
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to address electrical and mechanical problems to keep machinery operational.
• Utilize computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
• Diagnose and adjust mechanical and electrical (including PLC) systems to facilitate timely product changeovers.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the workspace throughout and following the completion of tasks.
• Ensure professional appearance and neat uniform presentation, particularly when working in guest-facing areas.
• Monitor and record water supply readings regularly and accurately.

• Prior relevant experience in building maintenance is advantageous.
