Compensation and benefits

  • Pay starts at $22.35 per hour plus participation in a tip pool.
  • Free parking is provided for employees.
  • Full-time staff are eligible for medical, dental, and prescription coverage.

Airport security and work authorization

This position is inside a secure airport setting, so a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. Candidates must already be legally allowed to work in Canada and must be able to provide the government documents needed for airport security screening. These documents will be checked during onboarding in line with Transport Canada requirements.

What you'll do

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other baked items according to production and catering sheets, while helping plan output to meet daily demand.
  • Use approved recipes, proper methods, and the right equipment to ensure consistent food preparation.
  • Complete production logs, including waste records, used and unused portions, and shortages, and alert the supervisor when stock is running low.
  • Maintain food quality, correct portions, attractive presentation, and safe serving temperatures.
  • Keep tools, supplies, utensils, and work areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Work steadily and accurately during busy production periods while staying calm and efficient.
  • Verify that all food is displayed, served, and presented according to standards.
  • Set up the station each day and restock required food items, paper supplies, and condiments.
  • Store, handle, and rotate ingredients and products correctly.
  • Complete all tasks listed on the daily prep and baking PAR sheet.

Skills and experience needed

You should have at least six months of experience in a food service setting. A high school diploma is preferred. Strong spoken and written English is essential so you can communicate with guests and take orders, and you should also be comfortable handling customer service issues. The job requires the ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
