Job description
About Tracxn
Tracxn is a Bangalore-headquartered product company that offers a research and deal-sourcing platform for venture capital, private equity, corporate development teams, and other startup-ecosystem professionals. The company works with a global customer base and counts well-known funds and large corporates among its clients. Tracxn is backed by SAIF Partners, Accel, and Sequoia, along with angel investors such as Ratan Tata, Nandan Nilekani, Sachin Bansal, and Binny Bansal.
The organization reports a team size of 750+ professionals serving customers across the globe.
Role Overview
Tracxn is hiring a senior sales leader for the EMEA/APAC market. The role combines team leadership with direct ownership of SaaS sales closures. You will manage a high-performing sales team, handle your own accounts, and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through close for a varied customer base that includes VC funds, Fortune 1000 corporates, investment banks, accelerators, and incubators.
The position is based in Bengaluru and involves remote outreach to prospects through calls, emails, and video meetings. It does not require travel to client locations. Working hours are 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm for EMEA and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for APAC.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to build deep expertise in Tracxn’s product, customer segments, and competitive landscape, while also understanding how market changes and customer initiatives can create new sales opportunities.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Tracxn’s platform, customer groups, and competitor offerings.
- Study how different customer categories use the product, what business outcomes they seek, and where new use cases can be created.
- Track competitor moves worldwide, including product launches and pricing changes.
- Stay informed about market, customer, and regulatory developments that could affect demand.
- Apply the sales playbook created by the central business team and flag gaps or issues that need revision.
- Assign and reassign accounts across the team based on opportunity quality, conversion potential, geography, expertise, and past performance.
- Ensure inbound leads are handled quickly and that all leads receive timely outreach.
- Coach the team to use the most effective outreach methods, messaging, and follow-up approach.
- Maintain a healthy outbound pipeline and support the team in creating demos through cold outreach.
- Keep accounts active and reallocate inactive accounts where necessary.
- Take ownership of closures across the territory, including personally assigned accounts.
- Support team members in closing deals, including pitching, demo preparation, and post-demo follow-up.
- Handle closure-related customer objections such as missing use cases or pricing concerns.
- Run daily 1:1s, review sales activity, and give practical feedback on quality and productivity.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, appraisals, ratings, and discipline management for the team.
- Monitor funnel metrics such as leads, demos, follow-ups, pipeline, closures, renewals, churn, and growth.
- Share regular updates with leadership and the board, including key sales numbers and bottlenecks.
- Relay customer feedback to product, business, and customer success teams to improve experience and retention.
- Contribute to improving sales materials, outreach content, and pitch positioning through projects with the central business team.
- Continuously refine the sales playbook using global best practices, team feedback, and customer interactions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has enterprise or institutional sales and account management experience, with exposure to cross-border remote selling, inside sales, or concept selling being an advantage. Strong B2B SaaS sales experience is required, along with at least 3 years of deal-closure experience. Prior team management experience is preferred. Candidates should be adaptable, organized, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities. Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru is also required.
Working Schedule
This role follows market-specific timing: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm for EMEA accounts or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for APAC accounts.
Additional Information
The job is a senior management role and includes responsibility for both individual quota-carrying sales and team performance. The role centers on remote selling and account management rather than field travel.
Any Graduate can apply.
