Job description
About Tracxn
Tracxn is a Bengaluru-based product company that offers a research and deal-sourcing platform used by venture capital firms, private equity teams, corporate development groups, and other startup ecosystem professionals. The company has a global customer base and serves clients across regions and industries.
The organization is backed by SAIF Partners, Accel, and Sequoia, with angel investors including Ratan Tata, Nandan Nilekani, Sachin Bansal, and Binny Bansal. The founding team includes Neha Singh and Abhishek Goyal.
Role Overview
This is a senior sales leadership position for the APAC/EMEA market. The selected candidate will lead client acquisition and business development efforts, manage a high-performing sales team, and personally own key sales closures. The role covers the full sales cycle for a SaaS product, from prospecting and demos to conversion and account closure.
The job is based in Bengaluru and involves remote outreach through calls, emails, and video meetings. Client travel is not part of the role. Working hours are 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm for the EMEA market and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for the APAC market.
What You Will Do
- Build a strong understanding of Tracxn’s product suite, customer segments, competitive landscape, and value proposition.
- Keep track of competitor offerings, pricing changes, new launches, and market activity worldwide.
- Stay alert to customer-led and market-wide developments that may create new opportunities for Tracxn.
- Apply the sales playbook created by the central business team and recommend updates wherever gaps are identified.
- Assign and rebalance accounts across team members based on fit, geography, expertise, conversion likelihood, and performance.
- Ensure inbound leads are handled quickly and outbound prospecting remains active and consistent.
- Coach the team on tailoring outreach, demos, and follow-ups to the prospect and the situation.
- Support the generation of demos through targeted cold outreach and structured account-level activity.
- Own closures for your own territory and individual accounts assigned to you.
- Take responsibility for team closures and step in where support is needed to close deals.
- Guide team members on demo preparation, post-demo follow-up, and closing conversations.
- Run daily 1:1s, monitor performance, and resolve closure-related customer objections such as pricing or missing use cases.
- Review team activity, pipeline quality, and conversion progress, and provide actionable feedback.
- Participate in hiring, team development, coaching, appraisals, ratings, and discipline management.
- Track the full sales funnel and share updates and insights with leadership and the board.
- Collect customer feedback and pass it to product, business, and customer success teams to improve the customer experience.
- Work with the central business team on projects that improve mailers, collateral, pitches, and overall sales methodology.
- Continuously refine the sales playbook using market learnings, customer conversations, and best practices.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional with strong closure experience and a background in B2B SaaS. Exposure to cross-border remote sales, inside sales, or concept selling will be an advantage. Prior team management experience is preferred, and the person should be comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
The role requires relocation to Bengaluru.
Work Schedule
EMEA shift: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. APAC shift: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Additional Information
This position is focused on front-end sales and direct revenue ownership. The role does not include client travel and relies on remote communication channels such as calls, email, and video conferencing.
