Job description

Overview

This position is responsible for handling aviation supply activities in support of OPM SANG. The role focuses on ensuring that procurement, storage, movement, and upkeep of aviation-related materials run smoothly so the battalion’s aviation assets remain ready for mission use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse upkeep, inventory cycles, and stock control for aviation materials.
  • Carry out supply support activity and depot-level tasks such as receiving, issuing, turning in, retrograde processing, inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and warehouse operations.
  • Apply COSIS practices and maintain accountability for supplies.
  • Recognize product nonconformity and airworthiness issues, and ensure affected items are properly isolated and documented.
  • Track shelf life and expiration dates to prevent unusable stock from remaining in circulation.
  • Oversee aviation supply chain activities from procurement through storage and final distribution.
  • Work with logistics teams to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Keep inventory records accurate and current for supplies, spare parts, and equipment.
  • Perform routine audits and resolve stock differences quickly.
  • Coordinate with procurement staff to source required aviation supplies, parts, and materials.
  • Follow aviation procurement rules and stay within budget limits.
  • Create and carry out distribution methods suited to aviation supply delivery needs.
  • Partner with aviation logistics and transport teams to fine-tune delivery timing.
  • Use quality control checks to confirm that incoming aviation supplies meet required standards.
  • Monitor quality-related problems and take action when issues arise.
  • Support budget planning and expense tracking for aviation supply operations.
  • Look for cost-saving options without affecting operational readiness.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • An associate degree or above is preferred, especially for potential Saudi Arabia QVP qualification.
  • Working knowledge of DOD logistics procedures, regulations, and directives, including IMRL and ALMMS as they apply to organizational and intermediate maintenance levels.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a DOD aviation/material control environment.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. passport are required.
  • Must meet deployment and employment screening requirements, including medical checks, drug screening, background verification, and similar assessments.
  • Driver’s license must have at least 1 year of remaining validity and the candidate must be able to operate a standard transmission vehicle.
  • U.S. passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity.
  • DD214 is required for candidates relying on military experience.
