About the Role

Our client is a reputable medium-sized accountancy firm located in Dublin seeking a skilled Audit Senior to join their expanding team. This role offers qualified accountants with a minimum of two years experience in Irish practice a chance to expand their audit expertise within a supportive, collaborative environment focused on community values. The successful candidate will work with a varied group of SMEs, family businesses, and growing enterprises, gaining practical audit experience and professional growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee audit engagements for a diverse range of SME clients across multiple industries.
  • Plan, perform, and finalise audits aligned with current auditing standards.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members throughout audit processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact during audits.
  • Compile audit documentation for partner evaluation and assist with the completion of financial statements.
  • Detect control deficiencies and suggest valuable, actionable improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Chartered Accountant designation (ACA or ACCA qualified).
  • At least two years’ audit experience in a practice environment.
  • Proficient understanding of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with a client-centric mindset.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with audit software such as CaseWare is beneficial but not mandatory.
