Introduction
Temasek Singapore (TSG) works to steward Singapore-based Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs) by partnering with them for the long term, helping strengthen their foundations, supporting growth, and enabling them to stay globally competitive while remaining anchored in Singapore. Within TSG, the Ecosystem Enablement team (TSG-EE) helps build a resilient and dynamic Temasek ecosystem in Singapore. The team collaborates closely with Portfolio Development and Global Investment teams to assess public policy developments, build relationships with government officials and regulators, and foster partnerships that create ecosystem synergies.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will contribute to Temasek’s public policy, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem partnership work across priority areas such as agrifood, artificial intelligence, biomedical sciences, and heat resilience. The role combines policy analysis, strategy support, relationship building, and coordination of senior-level engagement platforms. It also offers the opportunity to support team initiatives, including work on AI agentic workflows. The person in this role will partner with the TSG-EE team and collaborate with internal stakeholders across Portfolio Development, investment groups, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
The position focuses on policy analysis, strategic support, and stakeholder engagement. Core duties include monitoring public policy and regulatory changes, interpreting their implications for Temasek, its portfolio companies, and the wider ecosystem, and helping shape policy positions and briefing materials. The role also involves supporting plans to address strategic policy issues and coordinating with internal teams to ensure a cohesive response.
In addition, the candidate will identify and map important policy stakeholders tied to Temasek’s interests, help design engagement strategies, and support relationship-building with government bodies, regulators, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders. The role includes planning and managing stakeholder platforms such as senior meetings, roundtables, and convenings, as well as preparing agendas, briefings, talking points, and post-meeting follow-ups for internal and external discussions.
Requirements
The ideal applicant should hold a degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline. A background of 2 to 4 years in government relations, public policy, strategy, consulting, or a similar area is expected. Experience curating content and coordinating senior-level engagements or events is an advantage.
Strong analytical ability and structured problem-solving are essential, along with the ability to work through ambiguous issues, connect insights across different domains, and turn them into clear recommendations. The candidate should be able to draw connections across policy, business, finance, sustainability, technology, innovation, workforce, and international relations, and translate those insights into implications for Temasek’s initiatives.
Other important qualities include strong written and verbal communication, confident presentation skills, project management capability, and the ability to build trust-based relationships across the public and private sectors. The role also requires comfort working with internal teams to support a coordinated policy and ecosystem approach. Knowledge in one or two relevant domains such as artificial intelligence, digital technology and infrastructure, emerging technologies, biomedical sciences, sustainability, energy transition, heat resilience, agrifood, or workforce would be beneficial. Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, knowledge management solutions, or AI agentic workflows is an added plus. The candidate should be resourceful, self-driven, able to work independently in a fast-moving environment, and highly attentive to detail while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
