Role Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in identifying important sector trends and evaluate investment opportunities in early-stage and high-growth sectors, including funds and direct investments.
  • Perform research and financial analysis on assigned sub-sectors, companies, and funds to support investment decisions.
  • Create financial models and prepare presentations for internal reviews and investment committee discussions.
  • Participate in structuring and closing new investments and pursue divestment opportunities when appropriate.
  • Monitor existing portfolio assets and new investments to ensure alignment with defined investment theses.
  • Build and maintain relationships with companies, fund partners, research analysts, and other relevant stakeholders, including travel as needed.
  • Support regular portfolio reporting activities and contribute to firm-wide strategic projects.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds excellent academic credentials in any discipline with a strong passion for investment.
  • Possesses 1-2 years of professional experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in financial modelling, including constructing operating, valuation, and return models to assess investments, portfolio performance, and exit strategies.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Works effectively within diverse teams and liaises with multiple stakeholders.
  • Is a proactive self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently.
  • Experienced using electronic data platforms such as Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and Preqin for business and industry research, as well as productivity tools like Microsoft Office.
