About the Role
The Associate will join Temasek's investment team focused on the Asia Pacific region excluding China and India. This position entails aiding in the sourcing, assessment, execution, and management of investments across various sectors. It offers comprehensive exposure to the full investment process within a global, long-term, value-focused investment platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and executing opportunities in private equity, public equity, and funds/co-investments across APAC markets excluding China and India.
- Analyze market and industry developments, research sectors and value chains, and develop informed investment theses.
- Conduct due diligence activities such as financial benchmarking, valuation analysis, and building financial models.
- Support throughout the investment and divestment lifecycle including preparing internal presentations and investment memoranda for evaluation and approval committees.
- Track the performance of portfolio companies and aid in portfolio engagement and value maximization initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of relevant experience at leading buy-side firms (private equity), investment banks, corporate finance, corporate strategy, or M&A roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proven financial modeling and valuation expertise.
- Competence in utilizing research platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other data tools.
- Familiarity with AI-driven research and automation technologies to improve analytical efficiency is a plus.
