Role Overview
The Organisation & People (O&P) team at Temasek is expanding its data science capabilities to foster advanced analytics and AI-driven workforce insights. The Associate Data Scientist on a 12-month contract will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and business units to execute predictive modeling, AI experiments, and data preparation that support decision-making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine predictive models focused on workforce planning, talent insights, and skills analysis.
- Utilize statistical and machine learning methods to analyze employee data and deliver actionable insights.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing enhancement of AI-powered agents that automate analytic processes and produce decision-support outputs.
- Implement and monitor agent-based AI workflows to promote autonomous insight generation.
- Manage connected data models such as graph representations to enable AI-ready analytics.
- Perform data ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and maintain high data quality across multiple people data sources.
- Help maintain data governance practices including data dictionaries, access controls, and compliance with established data and AI standards.
- Create and upkeep dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Qlik Sense, and prototype analytics apps via Streamlit.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and support prototype testing and iterative enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or closely related fields.
- Between one to three years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or AI-related positions; strong internship or project experience also considered.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and foundational machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with Streamlit or comparable frameworks for building data applications.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik Sense.
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques, both relational and graph-based.
- Exposure to large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or agent-based AI platforms is advantageous.
- Understanding of data governance including access control and data privacy considerations is a plus.
